As I mentioned a few days ago in a teasingly-titled story, for ten bucks you can see my best bits!
I meant my favourite stories, of course!
My collection of stories from my Medium years that I love to read again and again is now on sale. I’ve had a little feedback about the cover image and it’s since been updated. I think only two paperback copies were printed before the change and I guess they are destined to become rare and valuable first edition collector items, even with the not-quite-the-thing AI cover art.
Here’s the new cover; let me know what you think!
Same subtle message, but this time it’s not quite so obviously AI.
Seriously, I get far too much guilty pleasure re-reading my own stories when I should be crafting new ones. Or even reading stories by other writers.
Can’t do everything, you see. Especially when it’s so hot. 37º today. That lead image is not at all correct. No way am I outside in the sun and humidity. Or wearing that much clothing, to be honest.
Even my cat has given up being close to me. Poor thing, she’s wearing a permanent fur coat, after all, and snuggling up for warmth might be her own pleasure the rest of the year but right now she’s found an outside chair in a shady patch and is languidly bird-watching.
I’ve got my Delter cold drip coffee brewer going in the fridge. Brilliant little device.
Later on, once evening comes, I might open a few windows, try to find a breeze, enjoy the languid velvet feel of the long evenings, maybe translate some of those sensations into words.
Right now, it’s not write now!
It’s me time.
