So, I made an ad
How did I do?
I might be reasonably good at making photographs but movie-making has not been my forte.
I battle with even the simplest of tools.
But when I came across this tech-dense video, I knew I had to try.
It took me most of a day, even with some shortcuts, but I got something done.
Working through the steps, I identified my core audience as female 35 - 65, the so-called “sandwich years”, in between caring for children and parents. As the little ones mature and leave the nest, the oldies become increasing frail and have to be helped - or pushed - into homes.
The ad outline this came up with had to be somewhere between summarising the story and showing why my target audience would enjoy it.
Google Gemini wrote the ad and – using the steps provided – came up with prompts for the images and video clips needed. Then I had to assemble the clips, add captions, and music. All new to me.
I think it worked out pretty well. It wasn’t a matter of pressing a button and an ad pops out – it basically took me half a day of solid work – but compared to previous AI movie-making experiments it is light years ahead of anything else.
All for a few cents, technology available to anyone in the world.
Britni

Wow! This is amazing, Britni.
The info video had a line that I heard as: I need to learn these tools to continue thriving at work. Hmmm… I've never felt such a strong desire to retire in my life.
In truth, I probably just need to make enough as a writer to pay for the Fiverr SME.
